Lucia Lobraico is a Dietitian from Italy who arrived in the States in 2003 with the intent of sharing the Mediterranean Dietwith Americans to help them live in functional bodies. She graduated with honors from the Medical School Federico II of Naples, Italy, earning a Bachelor Degree in “Nutrition and Dietetics”. Here Lucia went through very intense and extensive clinical training in the metabolic and bariatric surgery, pediatric, nephrology, gastroenterology, cardiology, diabetes divisions where she cultivated her desire to help people gain health through nutritional therapy. Her thesis “Hox gene Network is involved in the Trascriptional Regulation of in Vivo Human Adipogenesis” was published in the Journal of Cellular Physiology 194:225-236 (2002). After three weeks from her graduation Lucia obtained a Business Visa to work in the USA and left her country to follow her dream. Soon after she arrived in Connecticut, she established a nutrition practice for a chiropractic clinic. After many years of hard work and great dedication to her patients, Lucia received her Green Card and decided to open her own nutrition practice in Rocky Hill.
Lucia practices nutrition with a nutritional therapeutic approach in mind. She believes the human body is the best drug company of the world as it produces all the substances it needs at the right time and in the right quantity. Symptoms like weight-gain, headaches, allergies, bloating, hot flashes, constipation, high blood sugar, high blood cholesterol, and fatigue may be the result of the interference of toxins with the body’s natural pathways. Toxins may be of nutritional and non-nutritional origin. When the body has been exposed for so many years to these interferences the it may develop nutritional deficiencies which then may be responsible for many symptoms. Every cell in the body needs nutrients to stay alive, therefore nutrition impacts every single organ, tissue and gland and all their functions. Lucia’s programs are designed to improve the nutritional and biochemical balance between organs and glands by using foods, nutrients and herbs and to remove the interferences whenever possible. In many cases the body will then be able to produce what it needs to function at its best and you feel lively and full of energy.
After a comprehensive and extremely accurate Nutritional Assessment including the evaluation of blood biochemical values, anthropometric data, fat percentage analysis, and complete medical and nutritional history, Lucia creates personalized programs to meet each patient’s nutritional needs and lifestyle. Lucia makes coaching a pivotal factor in her practice as she believes it to be a key factor for her patient’s success. Lucia has had a thriving Nutrition Practice in Connecticut. Since her start all of her patients have benefited from this Elixir Diet enjoying extraordinary results.
